Compass Mining levels up with a new 25 MW Bitcoin mining spot in Texas

Yo fam, big news from Compass Mining. They just dropped a fresh 25 megawatt (MW) Bitcoin mining facility in Texas, and it’s already lit. This place is all set to roll with 5 MW by the end of the year, and it’s gonna hit the full 25 MW by January 2025. But wait, there’s more. They’re planning to crank it up to 60 MW by Q3 2025.

The new Texas hub is gonna mix it up with machines from their other spots and some brand-new gear, making sure all their peeps get a smooth and easy Bitcoin mining vibe. Starting January 2025, new customers can snag machines through Compass’s platform and set them up at the “Texas 6” site.

Paul Gosker, the CEO, is hyped about this move, saying it’s a major step in making Bitcoin mining accessible for everyone. They’ve got mad skills from running multiple locations in Texas, and they’re ready to help their site partner find top-notch techs to keep things running smoothly.

Compass is all about that vertical integration game with their own facilities, like the new Iowa 4 site, while also teaming up with third-party spots known for their reliability. They’ve already powered up around 50 MW across mining sites in Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Texas this year, and they’re eyeing another 35 MW by January 2025.
