Jean-Michel Jarre takes flight in KleinVision’s AirCar
The OG electronic music maestro, Jean-Michel Jarre, just took the sickest ride ever in KleinVision’s flying AirCar. He’s officially the first-ever passenger to hop into this flying whip, and man, was he stoked.
Jarre was all like, “It’s straight outta a Jules Verne book, but, like, real, you know? One sec, you’re chatting with the driver, and the next, boom. You’re up in the air. It’s a mind-blowing experience.”
This AirCar ain’t no joke. It got its official Certificate of Airworthiness back in January 2022, and since then, it’s been clocking in some serious flight hours – 130, to be exact. Plus, it’s taken off over 520 times.
Jarre got to take two flights in this bad boy at Piestany International Airport, and he couldn’t stop raving about it. His excitement was off the charts, totally matching the vibe of his upcoming gig at the Starmus Opening Concert, which, by the way, will also feature the legendary Sir Brian May from Queen.
The concert’s theme is all about ‘The Bridge from the Future’, and with Jarre flying high in the AirCar, it’s like the future is now. Garik Israelian, one of the brains behind Starmus, was hyped about this addition, saying it’s gonna take the festival to a whole new level.
And get this, the whole thing was caught on camera by Todd Douglas Miller, the director behind the epic Apollo 11 flick. He was straight-up blown away, saying, “It looks impossible. It looks like it’s doing something it should not be doing.” Yeah, it’s that mind-blowing.
The genius behind the AirCar, Professor Stefan Klein, was buzzing with pride. He was all like, “From dreams to reality, we’ve taken flight with Jean-Michel, opening up a whole new era of transportation with a sprinkle of magic.”
Anton Zajac, the co-founder of KleinVision and ESET, was also pumped about this leap in tech. He said, “We’re bridging the gap between the road and the sky, giving cars the freedom they represented 50 years ago.”
