US and Thai Deputy PM talk serious stuff in DC

Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently met up with Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Parnpree in Washington DC, for some serious chit-chat. The vibe was all about strengthening the US-Thailand crew and making moves on the global stage.
Blinken was all about pumping up the US-Thailand partnership, throwing down on trade, security, and people connections. They’re looking to level up their game in the Indo-Pacific, kicking it with ASEAN, and making sure everyone gets a seat at the democracy table.
They didn’t shy away from the heavy stuff either. They tackled the Burma situation head-on, stressing the need for help for the people caught up in the mess and pushing for a chill discussion to sort things out. Blinken made it clear: the US is all about getting those hostages out of Hamas’ grip, no ifs, ands, or buts.
Blinken also gave a shoutout to more hangouts between the US and Thailand, hyping up the US-Thailand Strategic and Defence Dialogue coming up at the end of February. It’s all about keeping that 190-year friendship going strong.
So yeah, big talks, big moves, and big plans for the US and Thailand. Watch this space for more updates on their power plays.
